The road to obedience has a firm foundation...
Made of Solid Rock it leads away from temptation.
It's clearly marked showing "Someone" has gone on before...
Traveling first to prepare the way and open the door.
Yet often times this path will appear blocked or too steep...
Filled with obstacles, cracks, and dark places that run deep.
Focus then not on the difficulties ahead...
But confidently on the Trailblazer instead.
The One who went before defeating death and fear...
Your constant companion who always remains near.
So don't let what may seem impossible each day...
Deceive you into seeking an alternate way.
For the Devil's intention is to fill your mind with doubt...
So beware when faced with an easier more tempting route.
Remembering in that moment as you glance around...
Satan's set his trap and sin's the bait he hopes is found.
Hold tight then to God's promises, in His Word abide.
Listen to His Voice, letting His Spirit be your guide.
Look neither left nor right for there is no other way...
Since the choice is life or death, we must trust and obey!
