"Guard my life, for I am faithful to You;
Save your servant who trusts in You. You are my God."

"I have had enough Lord."
1Kings 19:4 NIV
Remember Moses, Elijah, and Jeremiah too...
All were great heroes of faith - prophets - tried, tested, and true.
Yet; despite all the miracles each witnessed in their life...
They all broke at some point under extreme pressure and strife.
For written in Scripture, is each ones heart rendering prayer...
Recorded for all time, words cried out in utter despair.
There's also King David, who expressed his panic through prose...
Poetic imagery of drowning, is how his prayer goes.
The power of that descriptive Psalm, is in its timelessness...
So appropriate for depicting, much of today's distress.
"In over our head", "drowning in debt" and "engulfed by sorrow"...
Overwhelmed by "waves of pain", "a drift" and dreading tomorrow.
Could it be in God's infinite Wisdom; He's trying to show...
Through those profound prayers; something vital we need to know?
For when each one cried out not caring if they lived or died...
God revealed His Power and ability to provide.
The key's found in trusting and crying out to Him in prayer...
For when we trust and rely on Him, His Provision's there!
As illustrated in the meltdowns, of these mighty men...
Who realized, God was there before, He'll be there AGAIN!
"He who promised is faithful."
Hebrews 10:23 NIV
