My Strength and Shield

The knowledge and wisdom I've gained over the years...
Has enabled me to endure tough times and tears.
For You've taught me well and I now know...
It's only through trials that we grow.
It's also part of Your Plan and Desire...
That the healing and comfort we acquire,
Be offered to others who share our pain...
Then even in suffering there is gain.
But I can't do it alone, so I'll gladly yield...
To my Lord and Savior, who is my Strength and Shield.
The One who sends His Counselor to enlighten me...
Showing me how to use this storm to set others free.
