The Treasure in Darkness

Seek not your own understanding in adversity...
But search for and trust in, His Counsel consistently.
For when trials and sorrows come it makes us aware...
The treasure in darkness is discovering He's there.
But it's just not enough to know Jesus in our head...
We must search for understanding with our heart's instead.
For intimate knowledge cannot and will not be found...
Anywhere but daily communion on Holy Ground.
It is there we realize no matter what we face...
Our Father's more than able to cover us with Grace.
For intimacy will build trust and understanding...
Which gives us confidence when life becomes demanding.
For Our Savior doesn't deal in half measures you see...
Nor does He come and go but remains there constantly!
Faithfully reaching out should we struggle or fall...
With Everlasting Arms to hold us through it all.
So like the oyster when it comes to enduring pain...
We learn that trials and suffering are not in vain.
For what once was an irritant and grain of sand...
Slowly becomes a thing of beauty by His Hand.
But search for and trust in, His Counsel consistently.
For when trials and sorrows come it makes us aware...
The treasure in darkness is discovering He's there.
But it's just not enough to know Jesus in our head...
We must search for understanding with our heart's instead.
