At times the road will be a long one that seems tough...
But I will get you through when the going gets rough.
Whether you stumble, fall, or even fail...
Keep focused on Me and you will prevail.
Pray for contentment and strength when you're asked to wait...
Instead of jumping the gun at the starting gate.
Embrace each new day with happiness in your heart...
Looking for all the new beginnings I'll impart.
Rather than set a hurried and rapid pace...
Don't rush the moment while you're running the race.
Stop frequently taking time to rest and watch for Me...
For whenever you slow your steps you'll easily see,
All the opportunities I've waiting for you...
Experiencing fulfillment when dreams come true.
So remember to concentrate on going slow...
Taking time to enjoy the journey as you go.
