I've discovered whenever I'm facing challenges in life...
I'm most aware of Your Presence while enduring times of strife.
For it is then I become still so that I might hear...
The tender words of comfort as I feel You draw near.
Reaching down to wrap me in the warmth of Your Eternal Love...
Whispering softly to my heart each time I turn eyes above.
And while held tightly in those strong arms and that loving embrace...
You renew my spirit for through Christ there's nothing I can't face.
So I'll put my trust in Your Word & Your Light to guide me through...
Claiming Your Promises, relying on them in all I do.
For You've proved faithful in providing for my every need...
Through Your Holy Spirit guiding me so I can succeed.
Then following the footprints that Jesus left behind...
Recalling His Sacrifice when life becomes unkind,
My fears and doubts begin to melt away so my heart can see...
That God keeps in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on Thee!
