Patiently I've waited watching you grow each year...
Delighting in our shared time whenever you'd draw near.
As you began to comprehend that there's more to life...
Then trying to get ahead avoiding stress and strife,
You embraced Christ - wanting to change and live differently...
Desiring to walk in the Light of Eternity.
Trusting and believing you began to understand...
That your life belonged to Me, so reached for My Hand.
Now that we're walking together you'll prosper and grow...
Intimately and ultimately coming to know,
Your Father's Heart and the secrets found there...
With permission to share them everywhere.
A beacon of light piercing the darkness each day...
Offering a lamp and guidance directing the way.
Just as the firefly draws others by shining bright...
You too will shine through Me as you let your wings take flight.
Joining with others all over this earth...
Sharing the Good News of the Saviors Birth.
So those that are lost can find Heaven's Gates...
As you light the path to the One who waits.
