Surrendering Our Hearts

Compassionate Abba Father our strength and song…
Who loves His Children deeply and has for so long.
Promising to fill us with His Joy and Peace…
Lifting our burdens so our worries cease.
If we will cast all our concerns each day…
At the feet of our Savior Who lights the way.
The One Who’ll always remain steadfast and true…
Faithfully drawing near to protect us too.
So fear not for in life’s trials we aren’t alone…
Darkness is needed for True Light to be shown.
For stars always shine brightest against a dark sky…
Remember that – when it’s hard to understand why.
Focusing not on the tough problems we must face…
But seeking and relying on our Father’s Grace.
For He’s more than able to meet every need…
Ready to guide us if we’ll just let HIM lead!
How much easier life would be for us all…
Especially on days when we stumble and fall.
If we’d patiently wait for God’s mighty Hand…
To give us direction and the strength to stand.
Remembering to trust our lives to His loving Care…
Surrendering our hearts to Him on the wings of prayer.
